t20eNew Delhi, Friday, January 29 – South African players look forward to a brand new fresh start against England at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, the venue selected to host first one-dayer.

Challenges might be unending for them, taking into consideration poor show against the same team in the longest format that concluded lately. However, a victory in the end must be moral boosting.

More to their confidence, good show in ODI format against India on Indian soil may help them keep going. Each format requires different tactics. T20 needs more of hitting, whereas Test cricket asks for patience. One Day International matches are a mix of both.

The five-match ODI series between Proteas and English cricketers is to begin from February 3. Second, third fourth and fifth ODIs are to take place at St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth, SuperSport Park in Centurion, New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg and Newlands in Cape Town on February 6, 9, 12 and 14, respectively.
